Thon is a 48-hour on-air fundraising initiative hosted by CD 92.9 FM. For two full days listeners are invited to participate in the grassroots fundraiser by submitting song requests and donations.

The DJ who inspired it all was John, “Andyman” Davis.  Andyman was a force within the station and was beloved by his listeners - many of whom became friends. His presence (and voice) were hard to miss as he had a big personality and an even bigger heart. With three kids of his own, Andy was passionate about the work many nonprofits were doing to serve children in Central Ohio. One holiday season he made a leap to get on the air and stay there for 48 hours, taking song requests in exchange for donations to support organizations with initiatives benefiting kids.

Following Andy’s unexpected passing in 2010, the Thon has remained part of CD 92.9’s annual lineup and Andy’s legacy of compassion and care lives on.
